Stay in Your Lane part 3
Stay in Your Lane 3
Romans 12:6 - Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us,
Every car has a different setup. Transbrake, no transbrake. Power adder, no power adder. Box, no box. Additionally, there are as many different settings for each setup as there are setups to choose from. What do all have in common?
The car has nothing to do with it!No car ever told its builder, “I don’t want a three speed, I want a powerglide.” The driver or crew chief makes the decisions, the car simply makes itself available for the “gifts” put into it. The application(s) are based on the driver, the style of racing, or the track conditions.
In our Christian race, we are the car and God is the crew chief. That takes the pressure off! God is the perfect crew chief. We may miss the setup on our car, but God never misses ours. The Bible uses the analogy of the human body.
For the body is not one member, but many. If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling? But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him. And if they were all one member, where were the body? (Paul 1 Corinthians 12:14-19)
If Paul had been into drag racing, he might have said “the car isn’t one part but many. The transmission can’t say “I’m not the car because I’m not the engine”. All parts are necessary. No engine ever made a pass without a transmission and neither works without the thousands of tiny parts each is gifted with.
Take the pressure off! God will gift you with what He needs to accomplish his purpose for you. Don’t call God a liar by saying “well I’m not much use, I can’t do anything”. That is a dangerous statement to make to God. For more click here.
