Can we tell you about Jesus?
Few people today deny there was a man named Jesus who walked on middle eastern soil two thousand years ago. Of those, most believe this same Jesus traveled town to town and village to village doing good works, until eventually crucified on a Roman cross at the approximate age of thirty-three. So what is all the fuss about?
Those of us who call ourselves Christians, further believe that Jesus did not stay dead, but rose from the dead three days after the crucifixion. This is where many part company, and who can blame them? Resurrection from the dead is indeed difficult to believe.
Why do we believe it? Three reasons:
1) There were reliable witnesses! The Bible that tells us the story of Jesus, also tells us of those that seen him after he rose from the dead (see the book of Acts in the Bible). History tells us that many of these willingly gave their lives or suffered severely rather than deny they had seen Him.
2) The reliability of the written record. Many question the reliability of the Biblical record. However, we believe that if these were to make an honest evaluation of the historical / grammatical text, they would find their objections assuaged.

3) Subjective Experience. True Christians have a genuine relationship with God through the living Jesus. Christian grant to objectors that this is subjective testimony, however we invite seekers to hear our story and investigate for themselves.
To wrap up, we believe that Jesus was beyond mere man and was in fact the Son of God. As the Son of God, his death upon the cross was a sacrificial death that payed for the sins of humanity. Christians, then, are people who have accepted this gift of salvation through faith in the risen Jesus.
